One of my favorite movies.

"and dont call me Shirley!!!"
"I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue!"
Kareem in his Laker uniform when he's pulled from the copilot chair.
The lineup of people who wanted to beat the hysterical woman.
Barbra Billingsley (Mrs. Cleaver) able to speak jive.

Lets go!! I an 100% game
I’m borderline obsessed with Baja. To the point I had to back off so I could get work done.

No idea why. The allure of beach camps. The food. The slow paced life. The people. The journey.

I have entirely too much of this trip planned in my head already.

Think of your secretary

I may or may not have gone as sheriff bart for halloween one year…

Oh buddy, so much truth. Just stay out of the dark corners in the big towns at night and 0 issues. The fact you have to buy fuel out of 5 gal cans from certain ranches as you travel just makes it that much better

I bought my KTM 450exc from a guy that was prepping it for Baja 1000 before he was relocated to Delaware. At one point after watching *Cycles South, I had a strong pull to head west and south... but especially on a bike, it seems like a romantic idea that would suck in reality, hahaha. Gas, injury, repairs, etc... nah.

*Cycles South was an awesome documentary about some friends that went from US to Panama on bikes. It was one of the best bike movies ever made - right up there with On Any Sunday, IMHO. They rode close to the coast so they could spear fish to eat, they lied and got loans for new bikes after theirs died at the beginning of the trip, they banged local chicks along the way, and really lived!! LOL

I grew up watching the Baja 1000, always my favorite.

Spent several years racing Hare scrambles on a 600cc thumper.

Scott Summer was my hero. LOL

Still own a couple dirt bikes, always figured I'd drag the toy hauler down there with them in the back. Even if I only rode (1) mile, at least I could tell myself I did it.

But my lovely bride reads all the horror stories about gringos getting un alived down there, she is lobbying heavily against that trip.

Still a dream.

I fully understand where people get scared.

I’m going if I have to walk, quit my job, and get divorced ?

in the buckeye state
Got back to work today first thing was jump two semis, with 4 bat banks. Takes a while with 4ga cables
Thinking either these which are cooper coated aluminum strands
EXTRESPO Heavy Duty Jumper Cables, 0 Gauge 25 Feet 1000Amp Booster Cables, UL Listed Cables for 12V & 24V Cars, SUVs and Trucks, Jumper Cables Kit with Carry Bag, Gloves, Brushes (0 Gauge 25 Feet)… https://a.co/d/jfFif5V
Or build something like this with 0/0 25' and legitimate copper wire and probably welding clamps, definitely the more $$$ route, iirc alum doesn't flex like copper wire does

Or just get these
