I have the readings on my block for ever hole we honed. LOL

There is a few settings like 4 or 5. It's measuring the peaks, the valley's, the relative flatness. It's pretty intense.

When I said the map ring was closed on both turbos, I wasn't kidding.

Compare the old cover map gap to the way I requested they set these to max opening.. 1/2 difference should shift those pressure curve a bit.. Hopefully back where things are happy again..

It sounds like you’re making solid progress with the turbos! That 1/2" difference on the map gap should definitely help shift the pressure curve and get things running smoothly again. Once your local guy polishes the visible side and you lock those bells in place, everything should be looking sharp under the glass hatch. Keep us posted on how the testing goes!

I took a look outside and realized, summer done passed me by without getting VooDoo back on the water. More pressing projects won out again. Even with both engines literally setting in my office..

Everyone remains committed to finishing David's project if possible, since is so close to what he and I set for our original performance goals. In this hull at least. But on this scale project, close is still couple hundred man hours, and a few green stacks for props and such to tidy up the build. David's dream was a reliable 70mph diesel cruiser, that could also lay down 100+mph pass in shootout mode when needed. Which would secure Voodo's place as worlds fastest production hull diesel boat floating anywhere today.

So, rather than let VooDoo set outside another winter, believing I'll find time to bolt everything back together this month, we've decided to seek a new partner on this 7yr floating R&D project. But finding someone with similar Aussie level gearhead enthusiasm to one off twin engine diesel boat projects, has proving harder than expected. Even when the offer starts with, "I'll give you a million dollars worth of really cool stuff in a box, if you'll commit to bolting it all back togher with me." Comes with 80' of fresh signage, just add wrap.. Means and time commitment to finishing this project as David would liked, is where my list get short. Betting someone on here will say, "I know a guy who..."

Andrew at Injectors Direct purchased the OG PPE Warlock from me in 2014, and hasn't been seen on the water since 2015. That's been on top of my To Finish Projects list also for a while. So I poke him every couple months saying, give me 3 hots and a cot, I'll come bolt it all together with ya. It's been sleeping in a nice shop for past decade at least... lol.

Voodoo on the other hand, requires a bit more space, and twice the love.. Twins are Expensive...

I did see where Adam at Dmaxstore got his boat going again last month. Another 10 yr plus build. 5th boat swapped if I recall.

Is close, hour a way. Sold his shop few years back, but he did have a bay it would fit in..

I'm thinking big names that need a decent advertising write off. Boats qualify nicely for that at least. And yes, going from drag cars to twin engine IO performance boats, be about like going from pulling garden tractors on Sundays, to the TNT PRO series the next step. Gonna need a slightly bigger bank roll, or find someone who really wants to see their company name on fires under stadium lights..

Have worked with a few names on that list before on previous diesel boat builds. Couple have my # blocked, some run when they hear I'm in town... LOL

Ya missed Brad at FASS, who was my first call.

FASS actually spends a little ad money in the performance boating world. But when he mentioned considering a new C build with Industrial, I lost all interest. No knowedge of Voodoo, but knew about Tyson's 2.5 million endevour with the Utah boys.. So I ask he give Shawn my regards, and be sure to let him know my V8 pair he was leaning on at UCC 2018, now hava 120hrs banked today. And I last spotted Industrial's 3rd pair attempt of long blocks setting in the corner of shop waiting to be scrapped. Those currenly hold record for most epic C marine swap fail to date. Rather than fold up early like Wagler, they fell into "it's an easy to cross over trap", costing way more in reputation than they personally lost in cash.. So I suggested he call my friends at Innovation, and buy a pair of actual MIL Spec 5.9's marine engines that will last more than 10 minutes wide open throttle if serious. Then be sure to drop me a line when he crosses that Million $ blown mark. Budget isn't a word I ever heard or used on this project....

If you're dragging Lavon in there I'm sure he'd whisper in HotShots ear for you :ROFLMAO: Another great OH based facility, not sure how much they really spend on things like that though

Maybe post a pic on FB, "YOUR NAME HERE" ?
Last estimate on having it wrapped was almost 10k. That was the whole boat, and a few years back. Wraps are good for about ten years, some easy math right there. It's the extra 20 for a pair of props, the biggest expense required. That would likely get your name on there at least.
