Wait. What? Why?
I completely get it.Because it needs far too much work than I care to start doing. Its not what I consider "roadworthy", and I really dont like working on it much anymore. Time to move on.
This came out of the blue yesterday. My brother-in-law's nephew needs a truck and I guess he loves working on them.
I plan to sell it to him with all the new parts in the bed. My only requests are that he never brings it around, and if he replaces the radio for aftermarket I want the Bose nav radio and Lux amp back -- just in case I ever buy an LBZ.
And don't slam it with tires sticking out the wheel wells, huge rims with skinny tires, body modification kits, colored lights underneath, modify the suspension for squatting, mods to blow more smoke, or really any mod to try and gain more social points from younger people ?. Oh, and no truck bed hot tub ?Because it needs far too much work than I care to start doing. Its not what I consider "roadworthy", and I really dont like working on it much anymore. Time to move on.

They want my Father to get a replacement valve on his heart and he is 71. I was against it when they wanted to do it like 5-6 years ago. Now they are pushing it again. As I've gotten older I thought things would kinda slow down a bit. Not. Since my mom passed and handling her estate, the house closed escrow today. One big thing down. Got my daughter getting married in three weeks to a great SIL. Then I'm off for two weeks to have an ablation done to my heart to help my AFIB.
Can't wait for the lake trips with the boat. I've been fortunate enough to not have any big dollar repairs in the 15 yrs of boat ownership.

So, what truck do you purchase now? ?

Ugh. When my grandfather was 81, 'doctors' INSISTED that he get his carotid arteries cleaned out. He never woke up. Doctors don't care, they don't take the totality of circumstances, they just see this condition and this will clear that, but don't consider the risk vs reward. And if the patient doesn't survive, they still get paid. They want my Father to get a replacement valve on his heart and he is 71. I was against it when they wanted to do it like 5-6 years ago. My thoughts Exactly. He was borderline and its not effecting him. I think they just want to do it and get paid...Ugh. I Believe it's a small tear or something that's not sealing. But when they look at it, he is medically on the border of needing to having it done and just leaving it alone. He takes all the crap he is prescribed and his healthy according to the other doctors. They tried to push it and i went to 1 of the consultations and in my opinion I wouldnt let that doctor do the operation. I felt more like they were just trying to get paid. It's all in how the technician looks at the file and measures the defect. He was below the need for surgery for years and then all of a sudden a different tech at a different angle says he is right on the border and he should really consider it. But they say 15 years is the lifespan of that valve and then it has to be changed. what's the chance that he would survive a surgery in 15 years. That was back 6-7 years ago.Had sort of an opposite situation with my grandmother. She had an issue with her heart that, i believe, a simple operation could have fixed.
Back when she was young enough that the surgery wouldn't have been as big a risk. But her doctor told her she would be fine and would likely die of something else unrelated. Welp, she died because her heart gave out due to the same issue that could have been fixed many years prior.
Before passing, the issue got worse and now they kinda changed their mind but the surgery would be much more risky as she aged. Could have gotten 5+ more years from her. But they don't see it that way.
It was the Anastasia that was the biggest risk for an elderly patient from my understanding. Chances of not waking up increase as cougar found out
That's awesome. If I had that, I'd put some seats in it, bumpers and drive it to work like that.![]()
Got tom written all over it
