My parents were the opposite. Some guys at work always joke about being old enough to be my dad, and I reply that mine is old enough to be theirs
Yep lol.

My parents started at 21/22 yo had 5,
My Brother, who's 2 years younger, had his first at 24.
Mom's brother waited till he was late 30s to start had 2, oldest is off to college and youngest graduates next year I think.

Definitely points to be had either way.

I currently don't have any.
If I start now, there's a possibility I won't be here when they graduate.

Im 30 yrs younger than my Dad, and my son is 32 years younger than me. We were the "old" parents in our group, most started in the mid 20s.

Sometimes I feel like there's no in between. Either people have kids in school / right after or wait till 30+

Nothing wrong with that. Im still young-at-heart. As Joe said, the mind is willing, just the body isnt (as often). :ROFLMAO:

At least my daughter is changing the narrative. She's 24, so is her hubby. I pray our son and DIL start up soon, as they are 27 each.

My parents were married pretty young. They were told to enjoy marriage for a few years before having kids. 4 years later they had my brother and I 20 months apart. And didn’t become grand parents until the mid and late 60’s. Thanks little brother lol.

Got married and had my son in my mid 30’s. I feel like the baby boomer generation influenced us into waiting to have children until we were older. I wish we had done it earlier, children are so much fun!

Wife and I waited till I was 29 to have our first one. Seems like all my friends had kids around the same age but many of them are friends from college. I don’t know if it was the extra 4-5 years and the school debt coupled with starting a new career that prompted the wait but I’d venture to say it was a good part of it.

I was 34 when my daughter was born... I was one who was always like 'I don't want kids', and then something changed, and then we had her.. the best thing to ever happen to me... One thing I remember hearing is if you wait to have kids until you're 'ready' (financially, this that or the other reason), it'll never happen.
