Does anybody out there have the June, 2019 public release versions saved that could send them to me? It's the oldest version required to get new VIN licenses activated.

V8 Software: V8.2.24
V7.5 Software: V7.5.28

I have V8.2.24 install .exe. It's 92MB, so can't be emailed. Do you have a google drive or dropbox?

If you can wait till tomorrow when I get on my work computer, I’ll update the max file size momentarily and you can put it on the site

I have both of the versions you are looking for, and I can upload them here once James ups the limits.
  • EFILiveV7.5.28_Update01_Setup.exe = 112 MB (109 MB as a 7zip file)
  • EFILiveV8.2.24_Setup.exe = 90 MB (88 MB as a 7z file)

Alright, size updated for now. Server has a hard limit at 130mb so its set there. see if that works. otherwise you guys will probably have to attach as a .zip file.

Thanks James. Here you go Ferm. I also have V7.5.28 but I've tried multiple times and it won't upload in this post or if i start a new one. I may be up against some limit. It's 115MB zipped.

If you can get it worked out, that would be great. I saved the V8, so that can come down. I used to have a dropbox, but it stopped working awhile back, should probably try it again, and see if it's working or if I have to open a new one.

Ok boys, its up and going. I have the limit set at 200mb right now and once the correct one is loaded, ill deactivate it. this will only be used on a case by case basis as it will allow full res pictures and other attachements to upload which can REALLY fill up the server fast.

V8.3.7 uploaded as an example

I'm in the office today, so I won't be able to upload until this evening. Hopefully dndj can beat me to it so you can turn the limits back down.

Why do you want to stick to the older version and not just do the current up date?

There are some things that got removed from newer versions, especially around emissions. In theory there are ways to work around that, but sometimes it's easier to just not update than try and find a workaround.

At least that is my reason for stockpiling all the old versions

Dave hit the nail right on the head. I have to update to at least this version to add new VIN licenses, but I know some functionality was said to have been removed with the later versions. I hadn't saved any newer versions since 2017 because efilive said they would never require us to ever update our software for any reasons and the 2017 version I was using had everything in it that I needed. Then I learned after the fact that they changed there policy and forced us to update to at least these versions to populate an authentication code for a new vin license. I'm probably going to change my Tahoe from a P01 to a P59 so I can add E85 support and keep electric fans. With the P01 controller you can have 1 or the other, but not both. And I will have to buy a new license to do so, and I hope these versions retain all of the features my current older versions have(not like I use the emissions delete features, but I don't want to lose them just in case). I still have a spare V2 saved running on the firmware of my 2017 version and the software triple saved for it that I can use for reading tune files, modifying them, and then could load in to the newer version to flash in with my V2, but it's a lot less work to just keep a version with everything still in it.
