Yes. The current design splits the flow.
And as I understand it, the gear pump on the rear pressurizes the body. So, the only practical way I can see maintaining the same flow through the body is to pull the fuel from the body by drilling and taping thread and installing a fitting.
If you look at the picture in post #9, that feed passage for the FCA is blocked with the use of the bypass. So you want to make a new one
