So, quietly back at the weights. Stress is killing me, that viscous cycle of stress, no workout, cortisol, lack of sleep, etc etc etc :(

Just trying to limber up and get weight moving again. Started by doing at least twelve minutes on the treadmill nowadays

Squats
2x5x135
2x5x165
2x5x195
2x5x225

Seated rows
2x8x75
2x8x85
2x8x100

Few sets of decline situps and headed home, felt good to be back

Matt I feel your pain. I just moved all the way across an entire country with my life in tow behind me and started a new job, where I'm not king dingaling no more:( Tons of stress and no sleep equals no gym gains so I just took a break as well.

Ready to get back into it though. Just need to pick a new gym, so many to chose from and all are dirt cheap:thumb:

Those are some hard bottoms for real!

Picked up a set of Harbinger knock off Versa grips from the local sporting goods store for $25. I'll put them to the test on Sunday.

Shoulder is feeling better still a bit sore but not to bad.

Not sure if this gym will be the one or not? Has all the power gear I could ever want but the owners/atmosphere isn't to friendly... Might have just been me having an off day:confused:

I feel atmosphere is very important. The guy that owns the gym I use is the nicest dude you'll ever meet. He has a strict no Dbag policy.

I said f-it and signed up anyway... I e-mailed Jesse and he asked if I could come down and train on sunday, free card doesn't work on the weekends so... What do ya know I met him signing up just about 30 minutes ago, super nice guy:thumb: Not everyday you get to meet the world record holder in the 198 class:D Super excited and nervous to train with him.

Watched his last video on youtube, guy sounds like he is super beat up physically. Low back and shoulder issues. That's awesome you got that 1 on 1. Hear he is a super humble guy

Tried straps. 100% Hate them. Setup takes too long. I'm a grip and rip kind of person. Thinking too much screws me all up. Oh well. It's only $25. Maybe hooks would be better.

Versa grips man lol, velcro them around your wrist. When your loading weights you can spin them around backwards so the grip material isn't in your way. All you gotta do is put your hands on the bar like normal and grab the grip strip with your fingers and off you go. I also hate straps I would never buy them.
