I have no idea if you guys have something like this already, but one of my dad's friends has a really cool outdoor cooking area. It is a 3 sided bar, probably 12 x 12 measured on the outside, with a roof and ceiling fan and lights and all that. It has a big ass grill, a smoker, a couple of deep fryers, an ice machine, a sink a mini fridge, and a kegerator with a tap installed at the sink (that's all I can remember, there may be more). What guy wouldn't like something like that? Probably short notice to get something like that built for Christmas if you don't already have one though.
Buy him a huge box of marbles, then throughout the year he can lose them all

I have been looking at something like a RepRap for a longtime less then 1k to build one can fun too.

Something cool for a patriot is buying one of the flags that have been flown over the US capital. They come with a letter of authenticity. I think it's kinda neat. I guess they must have a flag yard with multiple poles flying flags & change them daily so they end up with enough to sell?
