WTF is going on with my EFILIVE??

So I picked up an 07.5 1/2 ton with a 5.3 LS and thought I’d do a bit of tinkering as it appears the previous owner did some exhaust weight reduction stuff but didn’t tune it and I have a CEL..

Been awhile since I’ve fired up the old version 7.5 but when I do I get the message attached and it just closes. Is 7.5 no longer? Do I have to use that shitty layout in V8 now? I tried uninstalling and downloading installing again but no change.

7.5 is still good. Looks like a file got corrupt or deleted. Have you tried reinstalled it yet?

I get this one when I try to open 7.5 scan tool

You might have to open v8 and check for updates. You will have to add a license in v8 also. If you don’t have any available.

V8 is up to date although that has nothing to do with my 7.5 issue.
Also only need a license to flash.

There’s a file either not being downloaded or put in the wrong spot and both 7.5 tune and 7.5 scan can’t find it.

Fixed it.
Added the .txt file it was looking for manually and now it’s happy.

Dumb cuz it’s just a blank txt file that it wants for some reason.

I'm betting it uses the document as a "scratch pad" for doing calculations.

You'd think if it needs it and it wasn't there, it would just create a blank file and move on

The question is, do the pids work? Is the pid list populated?

I'm with cougar on this most programs needing a temp file for temp storage or whatever just makes one and deletes it as needed. This behavior looks more like a reference list that is missing.

Haven’t tried scanning or logging yet. Guess I’ll find out someday lol. Pretty confident it should be fine. More curious as to why it disappeared in the first place and wouldn’t come back in subsequent downloads.
