who sells short blocks that wont break the bank

looking for a decent short block that wont break the bank, currently I have a lmm with cracks in the pistons and broken crank.

I was thinking of a LML short block with possibly Mahale race cast pistons or lb7 pistons.Also adding Hamilton springs on my heads.

I can see ~10k to have someone build a short block, crank, rods, pistons with main/head studs.. and you put heads, and accessories on and install engine..



If it's already out of the truck .. gets $$$ if you drop the truck off and they do everything.. most shop labor rate is $80-100 hour. Depending location..

How much power are the lbz rods holding nowadays since a few have put power to them. Deciding what I should use since I'm in the same boat right now.

^mine held 700+ wot pulls at 500hp for 1.5 years, then another 300 wot pulls at 575-600hp for 1/2 a year. Piston let go first.

600 is the the average if you want them to live. detorquing bottom end some will ensure their life there too.

Try Pilot engines the guy I dealt with was Travis Jenkins $4000 for short block all rebuilt back to factory specs $1000 core came with all gaskets and orings just needed head bolts and flywheel bolts,good people to deal with.

I will have my built shortblock for sale after harvest. I sold my lmm last week and just don't have any time to get pictures and figure out how many $ I can lose on it.
