The ones I talk to all the time have all said there is too much bs. They would all like to help like they used to. Maybe they are now to busy to be here all the time but they would like to spend time here without the hassles

So if somone gets the shaft from a vendor they should just roll over and take it?And dont say they should handle it in pm's or phone calls thats easy to dodge.No one has to read it if they dont want to.I dont like them either but when no one gets called back or e mails go unanswered what are you gonna do?Gives you feed back on a vendor andwhat they are like.Kind of a nessisary evil.Am i wrong?
And as for this site,I still say its the best,I have learned so much on here i can hang out on here always,if i go to DF it only takes an hour before someone is talking shit or a mod is flexing muscle and all the young guys are playing games so this site like DF........not a chance!

I'm not saying shut up & take anything. I'm saying it becomes a contest of crap. Just like in the Fleece thread someone posted something where are all the fleece nut swingers. Just uncalled for. It happens with any company that some like and some don't. Start a thread about PPE & watch the hate spew. It's too polarizing, the people will stay away because it's always a battle for them. How to fix that....no clue.

A lot of the real hate that I have seen comes from money, and when deals in the past that have gone wrong. Big names get busy, and the first thing that drops out will be the forums after a few threads of "well you are so high and mighty and such an ass for telling me something won't work" they get sick of it and just leave, they have better things to do with their time.<O

I see no real issue with some of the jabs we take at each other (lifted trucks vs lowered etc.) b/c in the end we all know we are joking and I can go have a beer with any of the guys I joke with-but when it comes down to it we honesty try to help each other out with tech questions. What I think trashes up a forum quick is the trolls-you go out with the goal of not joking, but pissing the guy off. Then all it becomes is a one up game of who can piss who off more, and nothing about tech at that point.

I met my current best friends throught this forum and DP. I am greatful for that. I've been on the forums since 06', lurked here in since 07' and yes there are several members that use to contribute good info that no longer post. I will admit that I do post alot of senceless stuff sometimes but never with the intention of causing trouble, I talk chit to the chumps I personally know and help the ones I don't know....

I've also met some good friends on the forums. Some I've never laid eyes on and others I've met up with at events. Its true allot of the heavy hitters dont post on the forums anymore, furtunately I met a couple years ago. Now I have to get tech from them over the phone. It's a shame, when I call for info or advise they eagerly give it out and always act like there glad to hear from me. They were just as eager to post info up on here until the shit storms began.

Stuff like this happen on all boards with a bunch of members. The only way around it is to keep a site small or mod heavily. Either way has issues. Cracks me up on anyboard that's large to say it doesn't happen...it does and while DD is different from DP from CompD to DF. There are VERY strong similarities between all of of them. It is what it is :thumb:

Thanks. I think everyone takes this whole interweb thingy much too seriously. It is great for info, but when you have 1000s of different personalities in one place, shenanigans are bound to ensue. Most of it is harmless but you always get those folks that take stuff a bit too far!!!!!!!!!!!
