I wouldn’t hang my hat on af cams at all. At least 2 broke cranks in the 3.0 LPDT class this season. Both billet cranks. It’s a Duramax thing.....
3 new big dollar units broke that I know of in 2019..yet my stock junker lly crank 3 seasons old... 1350 hp/2200lbft ,95 hooks, 75 dyno pulls, had hairline crack after all that. Another new stocker for 1100 bucks ready to rip!!

That being said, an engine needs refreshed after all that any ways, I can readresh almost 4 engines with new stock cranks beforni even paid for a Bryant ( only one I'd ever use) that 12 pulling seasons... chances are something would happen to the billet crack in 12 years you would need to buy a new one any how!

Pic a good af cam, we tested a bunch of cams on Engine dyno last winter, installed everywhere from 98* to 114*...the differences could have be dyno error it was so little.

When I put together my 2.5/2.6 motor we used a 6480 AF cam and it seemed to work very well with my set up.
