Ultimate Winter beater

I found a 2006 ext cab sb lbz, 170 on the clock, rusty. 10k, has one broke glow plug off in the passenger side head, need all power steering lines, its had a 150 tune on it for a good bit. What do you guys think?

If it's ragged out and the trans goes, having 12-14k in a "winter beater" seems like a lot.

edit: I have bought 3 trucks off of iron planet auctions, 05,06 and 04 zf6 rclbs. All were good solid trucks for 5-9k.

If anyone is sill looking, I know of a horribly rusty 02 ccsb 4x4 with 200k for $6500. Engine and interior is clean tho. Was from PA. And a 06 or 07 lbz eclb 4x4 work truck with 500k but is pretty clean for $7k

i've been eyeballing this one https://www.autolist.com/chevrolet-silverado+1500#vin=1GCEC14X03Z310630 doesn't have as many miles as i'd expect and under 4k.

That thing is cheap because it's 2wd ! But it looks so darn clean!

I just picked up my new winter beater a month ago. GMC dually SLT 4x4 with bad head gaskets with 494k on it. Got it for 2700.

Yes exactly! I don't mind a 2wd if the price is right.
