Tricky boost leak

So I'm about to hunt down a boost leak in my system. The only thing is I think it's coming from o ring in my v-band clamp. And that's located on the discharge of the turbo. Any good tips how I would go about checking that one spot? Or should I just take it apart and throw a new o ring in?

Make an adapter or your intake and pressure test it. I ran mine up to 60psi before I found my leak at the Vband

Do I have to worry much about the compressor spinning if the leak is that bad?

If you had to pressurize to 60 psi, I'd say you didn't have much of a leak.

No not at all, I tested because I had the tester not because I thought I had a leak. I did find that my vBand is cracked, so I got it fixed by HSP

Spray soapy water around welds and boots/clamps. It will be easy to spot without much pressure then.

If you don't want to build a boost tester, have someone brake stall the truck while you watch.

If its leaking at the Band,right take a hammer and tap around the clamp and tighten it up some more.

Will this work an o-ring even? Have a gut feeling that's the root of my problem...

If the oring isn't damaged, than yes this will work. Have to do it on my twins every once in a while. Just gets the fittings wedged in a little tighter.
