Moved to TC/Axles section.

Is there a round metal ~1-1/2" tag somewhere on the case? That usually has the case type and number stamped on it.

I thought the transfer cases were the same for "manual" and electric. The so called "manual" ones for those years are actually still electric. Just a lever that actuates switches and the transfer case still runs electric.

But as Tom said you can take a look at your tag and compare it to that one and see if they are the same

Wasn’t it the diff is still electric but the T case was manual?

The tags stopped when the magna corp took over tcase production.

The front diffs are electronically actuated. The tcase are either electric shift or manual. The electric t case use a transfer case control module(TCCM) to engage the front axle. The manual t case use a basic switch on the tcase to handle the front diff. Long story short.

The internals are all the same. But it’s not a commons weak point/wear item. Probably not worth keeping around unless space is not an issue
