So I decided it would be a good idea to sign up for two track days. One here at Portland International Raceway in my CTS-V on Oct 1st, and another Oct 29th at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch near Pahrump, NV. In that one Cadillac supplies the cars.

Should be fun :woott: Anybody else do these kind of things? I'm a complete newbie to the whole road course thing.

I'm jealous. I really wanted to take my truck out on the road course in Topeka.

I did the 3 day Spring Mountain for Corvettes:woott: I loved part of it. The part I didn't like & suck at the 3 ft shuffle to rev match shifts

I will stick to straight lines :driving:

First one at Portland International Raceway in my car was a sucess. Not much point to this other than to say the car is awesome :happy2:

Pretty amazing how hard you can toss it through the corners for a pretty big car. Then on the straights it made me :woott:.

Did the track day through Cascade Sports Car Club. There was instructor riding shotgun the entire time which was very helpful for a newbie like me. I learned a lot.

We leave for Vegas in the AM :woott:

I won't be going to the driving school though. Robert will be going with Pat instead. Even though I can drive, it hurts to put a driving shoe on my foot :baby:

OH darn I guess I just have to stay in Vegas and gamble. I hate when that happens :happy2: :happy2:

Amazing car, amazing facility!!!!, more track time than you want! It was a great day in the AZ desert. The Cadillac is just like the Vette.... Best bang for the buck! It does and has everything that cars twice its price do. The only thing it seems you get with paying more for a Euro super sedan is a certain snob factor! Those cars took an unbelievable beating all day, and it was their 11th event. Some cars brakes were making noise by the end of the day, and some of the transmissions were hanging shifts into the rev limiter, but after 8 hours of continuous abuse like the karts at your local go-kart track I was amazed at no major failures. Thanks Kat for letting me slide into your spot, I owe you guys plenty for that opportunity!
