I was just going to post this. I thought that he trapped 230+ on that mile? That looks extremely scary, glad he lived though, so sad about that car :(

Is it just me, or does it almost look like the chute caused it?!? That would be ironic...

I'm glad he is OK, too bad about the car.

dude is fine, trapped 235, caused by combination of crosswind and lift off oversteer.

this is like the 18th thread ive scene on this on various sites lol. sure is one hell of a crash.

Never hit the brakes until the chute is fully open and pulling hard. Other words drive into the chute and let it do most of the work.

The chute was hooked the the differential pretty much, when he pulled the chute it lifted the rear of the car off the ground, causing the wreck.

Exactly what happened.

Richard is an experienced driver, just a bad build by underground.

FWIW that was one nasty car making near 1500rwhp.

Good thing he spent the $$ on the cage and fire suppression system. He walked away and is just fine.

I was at the starting line when that happened. All I could see was a cloud of dust. Glad he was OK. That video is crazy to watch.

FWIW that guy has wrecked, spun out or blown up pretty much every pass I have seen him make.
