I ran into a 2006 STi last night on my way home. The guy claims it was making 360hp to the wheels with a few performance parts and a tune.

The first race was in 2 wheel drive from a 10mph roll...he jumped on me but I ran him down and put 3-4 lengths on him before I let up.

The second race was in 4 wheel drive from a dig...we launched at the same time and I got him by a mile...I think he let off after 3rd because I put such a big gap on him right off the bat.

The third race was in 4 wheel drive from a 10mph roll...he jumped on me again and I ran him down but this time I only had him by 1-2 length before I let off.

It was fun either way...any one else run into one of these???

360 to the wheels should put him in the mid 12's, i had a 2004 with downpipe, exhaust and tune i think was around 300whp it was a high 12 car

haha you're on the suby forums aren't you timmay? I used to have a wrx with full exhaust and a front mount intercooler and it was low low 13's

yea ive had a few wrx's and STi's. Most STi's with bolt ons are solid into the 12's pending conditions

So either he was lying or I have a low 12 second truck.

It had a perrin top mount, injen cold air intake, down pipe and full exhaust, greddy profec boost controller, hks blow off valve, and tuned with open source.

Definitely lying to you. I've had one beat me by 2 or 3 lengths before. They move pretty quick.

What I meant when I said lying, was about the power he was making with the tune.

He definitely had all those parts.

my buddy 4warned got a 2011 sti and i'll be beating his ass at the strip (supposedly) and he will just have stage 2 tuning exhaust and intake... I got a max effort tune stock turbo and built trans.

I ran into the guy again tonight, apparently he is getting a blosh turbo and deuche injectors for his car. I guess we have to race after he gets it done again...I think I will need some help for our friends at NOS!

My 2011 STi ran 13.356 @ 100.12mph bone stock.

Stage 2(intake, downpipe, tune) will put it into the mid-high 12's

My buddy had a sti with a stock turbo,stromung catless turbo back,FMIC,spt intake and dyno tuned.ran a 12.7 at 107. Then added a small 16g turbo and ran a 12.23@112... Even his wrx swapped wagon runs 13.1s with a vf39.should be a 12 sec wagon though...there quick if you know what to put on them.

Yeah quick for almost half the weight of a dmax. Do a turbo swap and injectors on a dmax also and see what happens. Not tryin to argue just sayin.

We go down to midnight mayhem at the las vegas drag strip every so often.

I swear all the sti's that I see running down there are 14.0-14.5 cars.

I've raced those cars before. Not that fast. One roommate had an Evo 9 with cams, exhaust, tuning that put down around 400awhp and the other had a stockish 04 STI. The Evo ran 12.59 and the STI ran 13.3x. At the time, my 06 duramax was only making around 640hp but still would run 12.50s and beat them everytime at the strip.

yea a wrx will averagely run those times, and tons of them have STi wings put on

STi should run 13's in stock form if you can drive worth a poo

I ran 13.8 in a Cobalt SS a few weeks ago. It was only my second time to take the car down the track, and the front wheel drive turd wouldn't hook up for shit. I think I cut a 2.2 60' time. I can't imagine a similar weight, similar HP, awd car not going at least that quick.
