Add them to the list of things not to try! i had a set to try so i did .figuring it would be a easy way to drop the front end a bit more and make it ride a bit better since it dosent really do much truck like dutys anymore but....

THey droped it allright, about 6 inches clear untill the lower a arms touched the upward travel stops putting the front crossmember about 5 inches off the floor and thats with the adjust bolts tightened all the way in:eek:! the bars are definatly softer and should ride better but the ends of the bars are keyed different than ours by few degrees causing and excessive drop or the lift of green keys with stock keys.

Just thought id share!

HMM i wonder what it would be like useing them with adjustable keys?

That what im thinking, I might order set to try, then if they dont work on them i can still lower it a bit more with the stock bars!

THe way it is now has the cv's on a heck of a upwards bind!

Slammed!

What are the chances of the SS torsion bars breaking under the tremendous weight of the front of these trucks?

I've blown out a few floor jacks trying to bit off more than they can chew.:D

Here's the issue:

Spring rate needs to agree with the weight supported. Otherwise, you will have to put too aggressive of shocks on there to absorb the "wallowing", and make the handling vague. Think 1968 Cadillac Sedan de Ville.
