Anyone retrofit a shark fin antenna onto the roof of an obs truck that didn't come with one?

My shitty black roof antenna decided it wanted to live on the side of the freeway somewhere and since I don't like they way they look anyway I figured I'd colormatch one of the shark fin style ones on to it.

Open to suggestions and of course pictures always welcome

It originally did but I've never had it active, the antenna doesn't even have to work and I can't remove it without having a hole. just looking to cover the hole with something that doesn't look like trash, the original one is just a bare metal rusted antenna wire sticking up lol

Is the old one the huge xm/onstar combo antenna?

If it is held to the roof with a bolt/crush washer in the center of the antenna, I dont see why a shark fin cant be retrofitted in place of it. It would mount the same way.
But if the old antenna has two mounting posts sticking thru the roof, then IMO the swap wont work.
