I do believe it is 1/8th mile. We have heavily discussed doing a different transmission. We have 2 issues, time obviously, the truck is completely apart and we are 4 linking it, doing coil overs in the front, and putting a cage in it, and the other part is the cost. I can't imagine it being very cheap to do a 48, 4l80 or th400 lockup for a decent price. They are all very expensive when they need to hold 2000ftlb and 6000lb. The minimum weight is 6000lb.

48re would be your best bet at that weight IMO that isn't going to set you back your first born child's college tuition.

Low to mid 9’s I’m thinking.
What kind of power do you see these guys making on this turbo with no "extras"?
I would think 1200whp would be pushing it, in my street truck it is 6000 pounds on the button and ran 9.84 making 1200. That was where my guess is coming from.

We calced about 1600-1700hp to the ground with the Race Cummins that I had helped build. And that truck ran in 8.9 in the quarter at 160 miles an hour. That truck weighed 6000 pounds on the nose with the driver.

So my guess would be mid nine to high nine

If they are going faster than that, then they are pushing the shit out of that turbo and engine

I know several of the dodge trucks are 5.3-5.5 1/8th maybe little faster in their normal setup.

Problem is, you gotta cut sub 1.2 60ft or make more power than 1200hp to do it… or efficiency get the power to the ground (hence 2wd with less drivetrain loss).

I dont doubt these trucks can go faster on different setups but with the limitations, very hard to go beyond that.

We’re in with my buddies 02 ccsb, his truck, my trans/converter combo with me driving. We got a crazy turbo setup that nobody’s done before. Wrapping up the turbo now. Caltracs and mickeys on all 4 corners. We should start testing here locally end of March.

It’s 1/8 mile, insta-green, spec turbo, OEM ECM controlled, any trans combo just no trans brake and NO nitrous.

We are going to turn some heads, no doubt.

Someone needs to start building them a beam breaker.....

I'm curious if there's anybody buying multiple turbos and dynoing them all looking for that turbo that one that gives them an extra 30hp.
I'm excited just to see what kind of shit people come up with to give them an advantage.

I guarantee there are people doing it. They’d be dumb not to for that payout.

Sell the turbos after 5-10 dyno runs for 50-75% of retail and send it, keep the best two or three performers.

Oh it’s going to be interesting. I read through all the rules. Some areas are vague.
