Engine oil cooler.
Just a quick update since we have put a few miles on the setup now. Drivebility is pretty good on the street. It is a tad laggy compared to a smaller twin setup or a vgt/475 setup but it is not bad at all. When the big turbo lights it is very impressive. Haven't ran the big tune yet, still some tweaking left to do. Hopefully we will have it at the track or on a dyno soon to see its potential.
.91 on the 369, 1.32 on the 488
Would a tighter housing on the 369 hurt the big end?

Yup, typically the tighter housing will help the bottom but hurt the top since it is essentially pinching it down and increasing the drive pressure. All depends on what you want to sacrifice.
That's what I was thinking. How do you like the new set up compared to old?

Just picked up the new 1.15 housing for my 88. Hope it helps out.
What housing did you start with 1.32? Any runs with it to compare to the 1.15?

Just an update, so far so good. Put about 3000 miles on the setup and everything has been great. Haven't made it to a track with a timing system up and running or a dyno yet, but I did make a couple passes on the daily tune for giggles without a time slip. We will get a slip and dyno run before too long.
Put it on the dyno tomorrow at Ennis!
report back with results, looking to upgrade my 480 to a 488 possibly. same basically the exact same setup...lb7 crank is only difference and a LLY

Huge thanks to Aaron Wiebe @ All In Truck Performance in Seminole TX for the dyno runs. Cleanest shop I have ever set foot in! Great service and loads of knowledge. He took the time to help dial in this synapse wastegate and laid out plenty of ideas to help along the way.
This was a SuperFlow dyno and numbers are corrected...
Tune 1 = 655hp 1500us
Tune 2 = 745hp 1750us
Tune 3 = 828hp 2000us
Tune 4 = No Run 2250us
Tune 5 = 938hp 2500us (70psi total, ~40psi low pressure, 105psi peak drive pressure at roughly 4000rpms)
Tune 5 has plenty of room to grow and will be bumped up to catch that 1000hp goal. At the end of the day, the dyno is just a tuning tool and it served its purpose for us to get the wastegate dialed in. By getting the wastegate set up properly, we dropped the powerband from 3100rpms to 2600rpms and stayed flat (not sure how much power below 2600rpms since that was our minimum on the dyno run calibration). Much more responsive on the street drivability and has that snappy feeling now.
I am loving this 369/488 setup so far. Aaron is putting together the data from the runs so we can post the total pressure, low pressure, and drive pressure data as well. This setup definitely likes to gate around the small charger to make its power on the big end.
Synapse 50mm Wastegate final setup was total pressure to port A with a 60lb preload spring and 45lb valve spring. Drive pressure against the face of the valve forces it open after it overcomes the pressure in port A and the preload spring. We will keep experimenting with it but at the moment this has performed the best.
