Hey All
'08 Duramacks 235k miles
Bought new.
Did the Banks six-shooter back in '09
Still gots the DPF, cat, egr

Been getting the reduced power crawl sporadically about everytime I use it. Comes and goes for no reason I can figure.

I don't tow, and drive only 100/200 miles a week. It's 10 miles to work I ride my bike much of the time

I'm in "youse Florida" so cold is not a factor

Never cleaned the maf sensor

Gots the K&N oil filter which I should clean more, but I don't over-oil it

I am good about the oil/fuel filter changes and even had the tranny fluid changed @ 155K

But no other work besides the front wheel bearings and brakes

I am thinking the maf sensor could be causing the frequent "crawl mode"

Would appreciate any input. I did the wheel bearings/brakes myself but I am not real knowledgeable otherwise

Thanks!
Steve

Si,
I don't have a scanner.
Is there a way to get codes on the dic?
What would be a good scanner to buy for a novice?
Thanks!

Go to an auto garage, auto parts store etc and get it scanned.

There is no way to read codes on the DIC that I am aware of.

Roger.
Are the cheap ones any good, like the obd blueteeth ones on amazon $20/40.?

Thanks
I tried out the $20 Bluetooth version. Was ok. Little slow. More dependent on the software used. I used the torque app. Worked ok but couldn't get some of the pids to work properly so no balance rates or other important information. Don't remember if it was able to pull all the code or just the generic OBD ones

Got the chinee scanner
Fixed the fuel gauge :)
I got what I think is a P108 code
It does not save data....
Fuel pump? Stock with 235K on it

P0108 high voltage on the MAP sensor.

Looks like a short on the supply voltage to the sensor wire. Measure the voltage and ohms on the pins of the MAP sensor connector

P0108 is an OBD-II diagnostic trouble code (DTC P0108) that means “Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor / Barometric pressure (BARO) sensor circuit high input.” The manifold absolute pressure sensor measures the change in atmospheric pressure in the intake manifold.

So ether the sensor or the wiring to it has an issue.

OK
I replaced right before the scan both map and maf sensors
Probably something in the pigtail.
Guess I have to learn how to use the multi-meter

It has been intermittent reduced power for couple months, now is constant

Is there a source to buy these harnesses, or I gots to find the chort and fix the wire?

Thanks!
