I was just thinking that if it was the wheels locking up, Id be looking at the differential first. Not good if its a tie-up, thats for sure.

Is the same transmission used in other GM cars, not just trucks? If so, are those vehicles having the same issues? If not, whats different about the truck trans vs the car trans that could be contributing? Just me and my uninformed ideas again....
You poaching my post Tom? Lol.

I could be wrong, but I BELIEVE all 10L transmissions are the same overall, from the ones in a CT4 to the 10L1000 'allison' behind a Duramax. Main differences being clutch pack setup for holding capacity and probably some programming to account for the mechanical difference. What makes the 10L90 in my 2019 CT6 'not susceptible' to this issue, but a 2020 half ton/Tahoe/Escalade that most likely has the same 10L90 is susceptible?

I have the recall on my 2021 2500 AT4 and I'm pissed they aren't fixing anything I have had mine in the shop 3 times for harsh shift from park to reverse and its also done it accelerating onto the highway last week it did so hard my drink spilt all over the place going about 40mph getting on the highway. They know there is an issue but wont fix anything dealers just keep telling me they cant get the problem to duplicate. My first GM and will be my last.

That's amazing that you captured it!!! I am sure its freaked the hell out of you when it happened. There is no denying it with video proof.

Thank goodness it didn't cause a major wreck or injure anyone seriously. I bet the NHTSA would be interested in that video of the issue occurring...

My guess is the crash sensor on the dashcam recorded / saved the video

Yeah, it's one of those experiences you don't forget anytime soon. It's happened to mine 4-5 times now. The last time it lurched the truck about 2' over the center line at 70mph, towing my camper. Thankfully, no oncoming traffic.
I haven't towed with it since. My wife won't ride in it.
