Thinking of changing setups again due to not being as responsive as I was hoping for. I’ve seen the new precision gen 2 6870 chargers are extremely popular on the ford 6.7 and seem to spool like stock and make over 800. Any one tried these out on our engines ? Torn between a 6870, 468/87/1.0 or a 475/87/.90. Currently running a Goerend R 23-2400 stall, 100s and 12mm. Any person feedback from any of these chargers would be great. I tow sometimes, although I have another truck to tow with so if I can manage to tow 5-8k with this, I’d be happy.

Thanks in advance

What are you running now? You’d probably be better off changing converters, 2700 stall would be my choice.

Wagler pushed those precisions in a package with their twisted pedestal and cast intake. I think i recall them working with fleece?? on the dyno with one.

Currently running a 364.5/74/.91 under billet 6blade 480/96/1.32 t6. Currently having drive pressure issues and in my all honest opinion I didn’t gain as much low end torque as I was wanting. It drives similar to my single 369 previously. Trying to stay away from VGT but I think that’s the only other way I’d gain my low end torque (boost) back.

Other than scratching the whole idea and going single 400.

As far as the precision’s I saw Wagler had them on Facebook doing 850ish fuel only and over 9 on spray on a built truck. I inquired about the chargers and got a fast response from them saying absolutely no towing with this charger

Any more updates on these 6870s? Between that or a single 475 and being done with it.

That's almost the same compound setup I ran for a long time except the exhaust side on mine was quite a bit smaller making it more responsive. How much power are you trying to run and how much RPM?

I chose the 74 turbine on the valley charger and a .91. Tune 4 and 5 are max effort and are right around 950. It has great top end power but low end torque is non existent

What are the specs on the engine? Vgt might be the only way to bring back what you’re wanting. Headwork and cam choice can hurt your torque down low as well.

64.5/70/.83 T4 paired with a BMW 80/96/1.10 T6 had amazing torque and low end response with a stock cam and good power up to around 3500-4000 RPM. Drive pressure started going up pretty quick past 3500 though. Even with the 9100 SoCal cam, it had good low end but not quite as good as stock.

Josh what did that dyno at? I’m guessing yours way more responsive than mine due to being the smaller turbine option and smaller valley charger housing along with a smaller t6 ex housing also. I chose to go larger on these due to wanting 900-950hp roughly

I think that setup put down around 830 on the dyno, and trap speeds back that up.

Nice, I think I’m loosing my low end torque and some drivability due to going to the larger turbine. Might try switching chargers out this winter to get some pep back in it. If not, a large single charger may be in the future.

I'm loving my single turbo. Makes good power and is a lot of fun to drive, but I also have a very loose converter.

My issue is needing to tow. I’d like to have 900-1000 hp ideally and be able to tow but it’s such a pain in the ass trying to get it properly set up with something I like to drive and is reliable-since im not a fan of VGT chargers and run a Goerend R 2400 stall, I would think something is do able.
