Well gents the ole lb7 spit the power steering pump pulley out the other night, pump isn't siezed, i can spin it freely. Not sure if its the original pump, bought the truck 4 years ago, im going to assume its replaced as most of the oem pump reservoirs ive seen on 03's have been black and this one is silver, anyhow, has anyone had good luck throwing a new pulley on and calling it a day? Or for what its worth should i replace it? The shaft has minimal scaring, wasnt getting on it when it happened, i was just cruising home. Thanks in advance!20231129_083203.jpg20231129_083233.jpg

How are you going to press it on without pulling the pump out? If you pull the pump then yeah, give it a try and see how well it goes on and how tight it is. You might need to heat the pulley with a torch and put the pump in the freezer to get the two to go together. If it was mine I'd tack weld the pulley on after

IMO, I’d just replace the pump. The shaft is most likely out just enough that the new pulley will end up doing the same thing.
