Oil smell normal?

So just changed oil last week and ran Rotella this time and I swear I keep smelling burnt oil and I have been all over this truck 20 times in the past week looking for a leak to no avail. Is this normal or am I tripping balls? I have always used Schaffers 7000 before and never noticed/smelled it. Between this and the damn typewriter clicking being worse on Rotella I think thats the end of this oil. Driving down the road feeling like a circus clown.

Rotella being a little thinner, i would think it would not quiet down the typewriter sound as much.

Rotella has a strong smell when fresh. I always notice it at least with the 15/40. Also with the typewriter tick my l5p was awful with 15/40 So started running full synthetic t6 and totally fixed my ticking. Expensive but worth it for me. Mine was embarrassingly loud.
