Nox Sensor & relearn

Hey all....

I had a nox sensor 1 code come up. I bought a new sensor and replaced it. When I started the truck back up I got a message servicing the exhaust system with 99 miles & 65 mph. To say the least that was unexpected. I just put the old sensor back in.

What do I need to do to make the new sensor work? Does it need to relearn itself? I don't mind spending the money for a good diagnostic tool. I just don't know which one to get or what the procedure is.

Any help would be appreciated.
