Newbie from Oregon

Hi, I'm Jeff, a Forester from Oregon. I just bought a 2006 GMC 2500HD SLT Crew-cab long-bed 4x4 LBZ Duramax/Allison with 88K miles. I have been grinning ever since I drove it home! I love this truck! I have had trucks before, but this is my first diesel. I was apprehensive about buying a diesel, especially with 88K miles, but everything I have heard and read from people that own the Duramax's has been more positive than I have heard from Ford and Dodge owners. So far, I have learned quite a bit from this site. Thanks! :thumb:

88k? That truck is just a baby! I rolled over 288k recently, so you've got nothing to worry about.

Just be careful with your wallet. These can be addictive and expensive. I spent a lil over $4,500 on mine in the first year of ownership a few hundred dollars or less at a time. My most single expensive item was $670 and that was my Airdog 2 165. Everything else has been under that price. I did go from 14 mpg to 18.4 mpg.

The LBZ is fun and I also got mine last year with 88k on it. Now sittin at 109k.
