New to Duramax

I've had an 18 Duramax for several months now. After 5.9 and 7.3 in the past I decided to give a GMC a chance. Definitely rides better than the other two and a lot more power. One of the reasons I joined is to hopefully learn a few things. Truck is deleted with 36k and I want to figure out how to do a glow plug delete amongst other things.

Why delete glow plugs, they hardly come on above 40 degrees, and if colder than that they may be needed.
