Hi,
I just picked up a new to me farm truck to update my tired old '93 6.5l 3500 dually crew cab. 'Course I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I picked up a 2002 2500HD 6.6l with a blown head gasket. I've finished all the head work and am buttoning up the electrical stuff. Dang, they're way more complicated than the old 6.5l <grin>. Anyway
I'm slogging through troubleshooting a FICM/CP3/communication problem. Should have it sorted out soon (I hope). The 2500 ran really good even with a blown head gasket! If it hadn't been for the rock hard radiator hose I would have just ran it. I'll be looking through resources to figure out whats up.

Moving from the 6.5L to the 6.6L is definitely a learning curve with all the extra electronics. Since you're dealing with FICM/CP3 issues, have you checked the fuel injector return rates and rail pressure? Sometimes a weak injector or regulator can cause headaches. Goldfarb Associates should be able to get it all sorted out soon!
