On the K converter the lowest stall has been found that still couples extremely well coming out of the hole. If you try and lower it anymore than that the converter no longer does what you want it to.

This is as close as you can get to the perfect drag racing converter for big hp trucks, and still be a lot of fun on the street.

Listen to Mike on this. Lot of miles and research.

Is the general rule of thumb the higher the altitude the higher the stall?

How high an altitude do you tow at Verlon?

Thanks for everyones help.

I have very little experience with the K except for acceleration tests and street driving. Untill recently I depended upon Verlon and Dustin for info. I finaly drove a good running truck with the K installed and it knocked my socks off. Up to this point I would not sell it.
I think it's the best converter I have had a hand in. Dave Goerend is the guy that made this happen. Didn't think he could do it; in fact, I didn't think anyone could do it.
PS
Verlon instigated this converter. :thumb::hug::D

How does part throttle coupling compare to a 1057?

So is the k worth it on a stock turbo truck?

It would be too loose for a stock turbo. Mine took about a month to get in, but Mike has a few in stock. Get em while their hot!

that was one part that surprised me a lot with this converter. I had a 57 in my black truck when it was in race trim and it coupled awesome but was too tight. I would have to say the K couples just a good (1.5 60s in a CC on an 1150uS tune) while still being loose enough to spool a big twin set up. best of both worlds and is amazing that Dave and Mike could build something like it.
