I wonder how this pump compares to a pinned/shimmed stocker (01-10 + 11-16) as well as an M316 for volume?

So, are people shimming the M561 pump? If so, how much?
This m561 has been out over a year, maybe 2. So, I assume plenty of em are running.

What was pump shimmed to originally?
To my knowledge, most (including myself) use GM pumps and key/shim them. DHD, last I talked to them, had not touched the M561 either.

On theory it looks like a good pump BUT nobody has come forward with it's displacement per revolution yet nor pressure. On the M316 pump people were still shimming it.
I sent melling tech a question as to output of m561 vs m316. Here is there response.
"The new style Duramax pump part number is the M561 which can be used in place of the M316 and it is the same output as stock. They are doing well, and I have not seen any issues reported since they were released. The gerotor style pump was developed for less torque required to turn the pump (about 50% less), it is more efficient, better performance especially at higher rpm operation in performance builds where cavitation was a concern with the original spur gear design. THE M561 is replacing the M316 when all M316 stock is depleted."

I am debating about putting one in my LBZ engine.
I have no firsthand experience with it.
