Looked like he was doing some kind of raffle for $5 each. We could all purchase one and cross our fingers that one of us wins. Downside is if neither of us wins we just gave him a bunch more money

He is, $5 is 1 entry. You can buy a sticker or something. But you also get in on Cletus raffle too and the 02 Camaro 35th edition is pretty dope!!!

No way I'd be able to mail it on the 18th and have it arrive by the 22nd. Our USPS sucks. It would take a week just to get out of California

You can't mail it before July 18th???

Yes they do suck, they send a package from up north in CA on a trip around the USA. 2 week later I get my package... sad thing is it made withen 15 miles of my house before they sent it around the US...

Buy a magazine subscription from me and have a chance to $10,000,000 (no purchase necessary). Sound familiar.

I don't know him, and don't need to, to know his game. He picked a good "bait" for the "switch". A lawyer might correct me but if just one person entered he has to give it away. But as they say, you can't win if you don't buy a .... wait that is another rabbit hole.

Good luck to all

I assume he was thinking June 🤔
Got tripped up on the "by July 18th" thinking I needed to mail it in after. But reading it again, I can see my mistake. If I mail it now, there is a chance it can make it. But no way I'm giving a douche like him all my personal information

It's not a scam in any way. All of the give away stuff that happens with Cleetus/his friends or "crew" are all above board. They use a third party legal entity to vet the winner for eligibility etc before announcing.

If your worry is "I won't get it if I win", you can rest easily.

And to add to this, Justin is a great guy and has been a customer and friend of mine since 2010. I gave him an ear full when I found out about him buying Wendy and he legit had no idea the history behind the truck. I tried to buy the yellow 3rd gen from Doug Cook that they gave away 4 years ago and he said that car was going to bring in roughly $150-200k in merch sales and I can promise you that this truck is going be $50-100k in sales. Hopefully it gets in good hands and is preserved. I am just as bad with White LIghtning, I keep threatening to sell it and my wife won't let me so it sits in the garage and collects dust lol.

I'm honestly shocked he didn't reach out after the seller said "Yeah man, I've got a plaque for the truck with magazine articles on it".

Either way, lets hope someone here wins it so it doesn't become bastardized. I know if I won it I'd just drive it or likely sell it to a forum member. I've got too many damn trucks as it is lol.

Never used the word scam. Never said this Justin is a bad guy. Some of my references were age based. Publishers Clearing House, if you have never heard of it, there is a good netflix doc. Cleetus and his friends are aged based as well. All of this is raffle/lottery based. Spend $5 get X tickets.

I can not fault the man for making a legal living. Even if he looses money on it he still has to give it away. That is his gamble, called business.

That was my reference to this being legal. I could have expanded and said, he has a team of lawyers that make sure this is legit. As do PCH and the lottery.

Age reference don't always work.

Unpopular opinion but Imho, wendy was no longer wendy when it was bought. Color changes, turbo changed, and other changes.

It holds tight to us only because the McSwains owned it and Kat could drive the shit out of it but they didnt see it as that special of a truck or it would have been donated to a museum or kept it. Even Casper would fall into this.

Theres a list of trucks that have just gone away, its how shit goes cause we cant keep them all and fads/whats cool changes and Boys, we aint the cool crowd anymore lol.

This is a large reason i got the limo back. Alot of history for me and what i/we brought up in the az diesel performace world. At one point, it was AZ’s fastest dmax for a year before bri bri finally built his race truck. Its fallen away from the times though as im not in the mainstream any more. No one knows “the limo” anymore but im fine by that. They find out when it breaks hearts lol
