I have a 2005 GMC CCLB, MikeL rebuilt my trans about 5-6 years ago. I was on a long road trip empty. I never noticed the trans temp above 204F. I tend to check often. Some where between Las Vegas and Saint George I started loosing trans fluid from the connector at the radiator(lower line). The trans obviously did not care for that. I pulled into a hotel for the night , barely. I added 3 quarts in the morning and the trans would not go into gear. I had it towed to a trans place. When they finally looked into it they determined the connection was bad repaired it added 11 quarts of fluid and test drove. Initially the trans was not happy but as they drove the shifts became more and more smooth with the only hiccup being the lockup converter but it was getting better. What would you guys suggest I do now? I have been driving it for about 2 months now and it does not seem any different than before.
