I have a 2002 lb7 duramax with a stock Allison 5 speed I’m putting a full 4in exhaust with a 3.5 in down pipe a bd supermax turbo which makes 40-45 psi of boost and was wondering if someone could make me a tune that is clean at idle but smoky when getting on it in the highway without causing damage to my stock trans and if you could raise my recline to like 4500rpms that would be great hopefully someone can make me tuned I can download onto my sct x4 flash tuner

I'm going to say hard No

No one here who knows how to tune is going to intentionally make a smoky tune especially for someone else. It gives a bad reputation to the diesel community as is one of the reasons we now have such strict emissions regulations

Plus any tune that can properly take advantage of that turbo is going to limp your transmission really quick

And lastly, I don't think the SCT X4 is compatible with your vehicle

Not going to happen. You're free to use EFILive to download the tunes that people have posted here in the past in the library, but most guys' goals who've posted tunes have been more power without smoke. Most of the "professional" tuners are gone now.

X2 that you're going to limp the trans pretty quick if you even begin to utilize that turbo to its fullest. As long as you understand that and are prepared for it, have fun.

I just bought the tuner and researched it a bit and the act x4 model 7416 is for gm vehicles and when I go to upload stock tunes there’s an option to upload tunes for a lb7 with an allusion transmission but there’s no preloaded tunes on it for duramaxes also if it’s possible for anyone to tell me how to convert the tune files already made on this website to work on my sct tuner that would be great

Darn well I wish I realized that before I check on dirty diesel customs and it said it worked unless I’ve mis read this and it’s a different tuner

Curious if anyone has tuned that are compatible with sct tuners or end in .cef for an lb7 if needed I can send in the stock file off the tuner from my truck. Or someone to point me in the direction of how to make my own tunes just lookin to get more horsepower outta my truck

There is a sticky thread at the top of this section titled "20-20 tune tutorial". Thats a good place to start learning. Although its using EFILive, the principles are the same. The EFILive forum is also a good place to start learning to tune. Change one thing, run it, log it, see what the changes did, then change something else and repeat.
