Hey fellas! So, just got done getting my LML motor built and have the first couple heat cycles in. Looking at the cam card Callie’s calls for 0.010 hot lash. Cam p# 270-009. Takes quite a bit to even get to doing the lash specially with an atmo charger in the road. So any advice on hot lash and any tips would be great.

Normally on an engine with aluminum heads I will go about .004 tighter cold. But .006 seems pretty tight. I don't know if anyone knows how much it changes on the Duramax?

I thought 12 thousands was recommended with 11 thousands being the maximum. Going tighter risks holding a valve open a little when hot.

I tried 10 thousand once on my LB7 and milage dropped bug time. Put it back to 12 thousands and MPG was restored. I'm guessing it was loosing some compression through some of the valves not sealing

The only benefit was quieter running engine

All lash adjustments were with a cold engine
