Doing mine now, can anyone clarify the tap shift wiring?

The two white wires are tow / haul mode. That leaves the two black wires for tap shift? One of the goes to the c100 connector, the other goes to a pink wire on the junction near the driver side I/P?

Which pink, there's two, one is a heavier gauge wire. I'm thinking it's the smaller gage?

When it says add a wire to "F" and "G" for GM lan, where do they get connected to?

*Add a wire to "F" for GM LAN (+)- You'll run this wires to the OBD port
*Add a wire to "G" for GM LAN (-)- You'll run this wires to the OBD port

*Here's where you'll run the Plus+ and minus - GMLAN wires from the C100(Female) that you added. This is the OBD port by your knee, you'll recognize it. The + goes to position 6. The - goes to position 14.

I got the tap shift sorted out.

The (2) black wires coming off of the shifter stalk, tap (1) into the c100 @ "B" ( as has been stated, the other tap into the pink wire (as was also stated, I was just not sure which pink wire) shown in the crappy cell phone picture.

Just in case anyone is still following along.

Both of my tap shift wire were full black, no white.

I just did trial and error on mine. If you look at the pictures I posted, both of the smaller gauge pink wires had a bare spot on them. I ran one of the tap shift wires out to the UHFC and the other I test fit on the smaller gauge pink ones in the loom under the steering column.

Crude I know, but that what I did.

Hey guys I am trying to finish this swap , o7 lbz into a 04 lb7 cab . I am using 07 engine harness and fuse box . And almost everything works excep the tap shift and I am not getting any power to a green and black wire off the brakes. So I can grab the shifter with out touching the brakes and throw it in gear. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe a bcm issue

Update

So I got the tap shift working but still no power to the green and black wire that is supposed to supply power to the shifter safety so it won't go into gear until the brake is applied. Does anyone know where the power for this is suppose to come from? Thanks in advance

Can anyone confirm what the 2 orange wires are that need to be relocated in the c2 fuse block? It looks like power for something allison transmission related.

Nvm answered my own question

http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28613

C2(in electrical center AKA under hood fuse block):
Move the Orange wire from F4 to A8
The wire you move on C2 is the TCM power.

Any chance we can get the first post updated with all the wiring info? Paging Tom or Russ:hug:

Gotcha, I'll Pm Tom if this post looks OK to you?

From what I read, there is not much to it. Please feel free to correct anything I may have wrong below, as this is what I have found so far.

On the C100 connector
Body side "C" (BN) needs moved to "N"
Body side "M" (YE) needs moved to "R"
Body side "G" (TN) needs to be moved to "J"
Add a purple wire to "B" for 6spd tap shift, tap into the pink wire on the steering column
Add a wire to "F" for GM LAN (+)- You'll run this wires to the OBD port "6"
Add a wire to "G" for GM LAN (-)- You'll run this wires to the OBD port "14"
C2(in electrical center AKA under hood fuse block):
Move the Orange wire from F4 to A8
The wire you move on C2 is the TCM power.

On the C2 harness under the fuse box, there are two orange wires that need to be moved to match where they were on the LB7. If not the truck will crank/die about 7-10 times before starting.
The lower rad. hose is diff. LB7/LBZ so I cut the two in the center, inserted a 2" SS tube bead rolled on both ends.
The LBZ Intake Heater grid fuse and fuse holder need to be added to the LB7 as well.
It was a pretty simple swap, and I would do it again over LB7 injectors in the truck anyday, lol. Some more needed PN#s below...

Petal PN#15233970
Petal harness PN#15233968
Shift indexer PN#15866124
Shifter PN#15860125

Small pins Male #15326269/19 Female #12191819/8
Large pins Male #15304731/19 Female #15304719/19

** A 6spd. trans needs to be used, or convert your 5spd. to a 6spd.(TCM, NSBU, Internal harness, Valve body) 6spd tap shifter, 6spd cluster, LBZ throttle petal and petal harness. Am I forgeting anything?

So when you move the orange wires from F4 to A8, you completely remove and don't reuse the orange wire that was already there, or move it to the left one cavity? I see both ways are talked about, just want to be sure.

Done.

Did you guys want any pics or diagrams moved into the first post too? If so, tell me which ones and I'll get it done. Considering how valuable this info is, it makes great sense to have it all in one post. Good call.

I have ecm pinouts too if that's needed but this should suffice.
