I have been having a long crank issue (about 4ish seconds so nothing crazy) for a while. It has always started though. I added a lift pump and deleted the fuel filter housing and that made no difference. Changed all the soft fuel lines and that made no difference. Got two brand new batteries and that made no difference. Installed a new crank position sensor and that made no difference. Balance rates on the injectors are within spec although warmed up #1 and #8 are at about 3.0 which seems very high. I say that because supposedly these injectors were changed about 7000 miles ago at a shop prior to me purchasing the truck. The shop installed a new long block at the same time.
I did the injector return rate test by checking how much fuel comes out with 15 seconds of cranking at the return line near the fuel cooler and got just over 100 ml (about 110 ml).
Seems like it needs new injectors or anybody have any other ideas or things to try prior to going that route?
