Sub'd. Always been a fan of the Heavy Chevy (Chevelle) but I have a soft spot for Nova's.....seeing 2 sweet muscle cars running duramax power plants is insane......maybe one day.....until then i will live vicariously through this build

So I like the 17/15" wheel set up. I also like the look of corvette rallies. I found a company that makes 17x7" and 15x12" corvette rallies so I think I'm gonna do a thing with some stuff.

Of course an exhaust brake and trailer brakes will be used. With that being said what's the max you would tow with this set up
Ok what about mine. 72 Nova lbz 4l85e. Will do complete frame connectors and a few cross members. I would like to be able to pull a 6500lb trailer.
With James on this... You basically have S10 sized vehicle that's a unibody with 70s technology. 3500-4000 be my limit for it. the ~108" wheel base isnt helping either.

The way my car sits I would not do any towing at all. I moded the rear section of frame to fit bigger tires and suspension is set up for drag. Also brakes are marginal at best just for the weight of the car.
I'm sure if I built it to tow a small trailer it could be done but I would have serious doubts with a unibody car..... I would not even attempt a 6500 lb trailer with a car. Full frame are or not.
I run a 29.5x10.5w-15. Same size as 315 or 30x13.5 et street. I've ran them all and always the same et.
Last question and I'll get back to building. How much did the case weigh when you first dropped the engine in
The car weight was just over 4K with me in it when it was first completed. Since then it's really close to 4200 right now with me in the car.
Ok I'm not sure who designed the air foil that blends the top of the van to the top of the box but I would love to shake his hand with a bat wrapped in razor wire to the face. Took 4 goes to get off
Well that was a rough week but finally got the cab off. Gonna hit it pretty hard and get the engine in one day next week
Guys that is a lot of engine. Gonna work on stripping the subframe. Notching and boxing it. Also building the mounts.
