It's really a good idea to check balance rates on any truck, actual vs commanded rail pressure, keep it floored on 4th-5th and 5th-6th shifts when you test drive it to make sure the trans doesn't limp (if it does odds are its been limped several times before), check for pump rub on the t-case, trans fluid color, any strange noises, etc.
