Out of injector... Currently has 160lb injectors, stepping up to 240lb sticks. Lightening up the nose as much as I can to help, the truck is 3610lbs with me in the seat. This diesel spec'd SXE88mm Borg is showing no signs of running out of steam.
Over the end of summer we decided to ditch the small air to air cooler in favor of an air to water, 3000hp rated, it's a animal. Highest I have seen IAT is 82* in the summer, last weekend I saw 58* at the end of my 147mph pass. This engine is doing way better than the 1st because of this cooler, and higher Ethanol content.
It's a gay gasser, but I'm sadly having way more fun
Hard to say because the parts in my LB7 would haven never gone the ET and MPH this truck has. They really probably within 10k of each other, the LS being cheaper and faster.
Tried everything we could last weekend to go 8.99, but didn't work out, injectors were at 100% duty cycle, and cranked fuel pressure to 90psi, which gained us a tenth, but 60' wasn't there so went 9.40, 9.42 and 9.45, at 23psi of boost. 1/8 mile was still a solid 6.0x at 119mph so just out of power.
Sold the 160lb injectors, and threw in a set of 250lb injectors, and installing a second magnafuel pump, total flow will be about 450GPH. Time will tell. I want to go 8.99 on the footbrake, easier said than done with this LS stuff :roflmao:
Don't have one, more than the valve body will need to be changed for the brake to work so when it comes out for a refresh is when the brake will go in.
Man I wish the 3/4 ton dmax stuff had options like the half tons, switching the whole front brake system to 78-88 gbody spindle, hub, brake rotor and calipers in a kit made by Strange. 135lbs gone from the truck and adding back 35.
