Truck is throwing a "no comms with ficm" DTC. I wanna know if there is a way to test the ficm so I know if it's bad or not before I buy another one. The harness for it is all ok.

When mine was doing that I discovered by accident that I could pull the ecm fuse (25 amp) and put it back in with the key on. Apparantly it would get enough ground then it would start. Try that. FICM rarely give any troubles.

So it is getting the same code with the original 05 FICM and the new 04 FICM...am I reading that correctly?

Never put the lb7 ficm in. Found the problem though. Ficm is ok. But the $1300 85% II CP3 is not. It took a shit. Luckily I have an LMM spare back home.

Is it me, or are modded pumps not lasting very long? Seems like there are new threads every so often about modded pumps failing.

the new Exergy pumps are our last hope I think. II pumps don't have a great reputation, although I am running their 150% dmax pump as a single right now and have been thoroughly impressed so far. I have another 220% cummins pump from them too to go on as a dual soon. No problems here yet

Pump has < 2000 miles on it and never even made full rail pressure. It spiked 26,300 then leveled off at 19,500.
Thing is a piece of shit. I'll lever buy and industrial injection product again.

Ps... Joe I'm outa town I have something you may want. I'll get ahold of ya when I'm back state side.
