So true going to borrow one for now let's see and thank youI see the check engine light is on. Would help to know what codes it has. Otherwise it's a shot in the dark and were throwing out wild ass guesses...
It could be an injector issue. Double check all the connections.
Hey thank you for the input white smoke in the beginning nothing more I'll check these suggestions appreciate youSure sounds like you got a mismatched injector firing order or maybe one or more injectors aren't firing. Wires or plugs into the wrong injectors or not connected properly. How's the balance rates? Do you have any smoke at idle?
No i borrowed a scanner and man o man never seen so many codes in my life so just going through grounds, connectors, and just overlooking all of these codes. One specialty gpm glow plugs connectors and the modular it's self but do appreciate y'all's time. What makes you suspect the speed sensors? Engine should run fine regardless of the condition of those sensors. Are you working on a different issue?
Oh yeah I totally agree first things first grounds and connector oh yeah guess what need two new batteries ?. So I agree but this is all so much fun and a great learning experience honestly I really do appreciate this forum y'all are awesomeI'd probably considerate on one item at a time. Get the engine running good with no engine codes. Then see if you have any other codes and deal with them as a system. I'd have to look at the schematics but I wouldn't be surprised if all three of those sensors used the same power and possibly ground. Loose the power and all three will freak out. Not common to have that many issues without one basic common cause
Often it's as simple as low or bad batteries. It's good you're going through all the grounds and connections. Better that then throwing parts at it
Ok got it but just inquiring how to know which is which based on numbers or is there a sheet describing this information and yes it is a 2wdTruck is 2wd? The speed sensors should each have their own hi / low pin back to the tcm
LBZ doesn't have a FICM.Hey y'all good Monday to you all, just it quick follow up on my truck, 2005 LLY Duramax swap for 2006 LBZ I've come to the conclusion of the FICM fuel injector control module. Im pretty sure I need to get a new one as well . I'll keep y'all posted and BTW thank you all for the insight and for much information y'all have helped me with. I know I'm not alone in this.![]()
So you're looking for the specific pin location at the tcm correct?Ok got it but just inquiring how to know which is which based on numbers or is there a sheet describing this information and yes it is a 2wd
YesSo you're looking for the specific pin location at the tcm correct?
OMG seriously? Soooo I would need a new wiring harness? Or upgrade my ecm? Since it will be worked by just the ecm?LBZ doesn't have a FICM.
