LBZ: EGR block plate codes?

I know its a 50 / 50 chance of having my truck throw a code without a tuner of somesort. My question is.......if I put the plate in & it throws a code, can I remove the plate & will the light go out with a few cycles? Or do I need to have it cleared out with a tech II?

It will go away after about 5 key cycles after the plate comes back out. Why would you want to do this though?

Why would I pull it back off? Just so I dont have to stare at the dash light. Im eventually gonna get a ridge runner autocal just dont have the funds right now but got the blocker plate sittin on the shelf.

It will throw a code. If you don't want to stare at a CEL, just leave it out until you get your tuner.
