Mr Staab said over on Comp that NGM is simply one of their vendors. He also said that Danville will be selling these, among a few others and these gears should be available come Feb once tooling is all set up. Also said he has other products in the works. Great news!
That would be called private label, it would be nice to see a better marketing approach if that were his goal.
This is true but I like to fully test it before talking about it because like many other projects we have been involved with the product is never perfect first go around! I guess my approach doesn't sell as many parts up front but it makes for happier customers! I'll be the first to admit I'm not the best a marketing, usually let them speak for themselves on the track.
I'm with harbin on wade. Despite being cocky who really cares. Aren't we all looking for more options anyway?
I looked at it too, and read it differently. Wade started the project with NLM and kept it moving forward,(hence the "Wade lit a fire under my ass" comment) and gave ideas to make it better, such as the .5* increments for positive/accurate adjustments.

As for marketing and using it first before the sale, I'm sure it wouldent leave his shop or go to a customer unless it was 100%. Thats just the way he is. Reguardless if you like him or not, he builds some nice engines and is involved with some top shelf engine products!
It matters more with big singles. Forced induction overcomes a lot. Not saying it won't help but not nearly as critical. It is how someone could put 900 HP to the wheels on a stock cam
How much have you guys seen people degree the current after marker cams? I know mines just set up degree mark to degree mark. Just curious
Wonder if someone is going to make a custom front cover so you don't have to buy a new front main seal every time you need to adjust the cam gear?

Since it would pretty much be a race application, might as well make it so a rev second CP3 can be run 1:1 off the valley CP3 gear, but on the outboard side of the cover

For pulling and lighting a big 2.6" or big 3.0" charger it's very critical, ask Tim or Rob how much it made a difference, lol.
Degreeing a camshaft is for the purpose if making sure it is installed per the manufactures specs. Meaning there are variables that may make it out if sync for the intended purpose. Some guys then use the ability to change positions to move the power curve around. It is instrumental in making good combinations better. Usually you do not have a need to change it more than 4 degrees most if the time less. This is something that I have wanted to do for a while but wasn't available when it has been apart. I have always done it on my gasser builds.
