converting 2wd 6 speed trans to 4wd

I'm purchasing a parts truck that is 2wd, and I am needing to convert the trans to 4wd for my use. I have a spare 5 speed for parts and I was wondering if I can unbolt the tail housing out of the 5 speed with the output shaft and planetary on it and swap it onto the 6 speed. Thanks

You have to pull the trans, stand it on the bellhousing, then swap them but make sure to check the shimming as theres a shim that goes on the output shaft to adjust rear endplay.

You will need to use a 6 speed planet.
