Where did 2025 go!!
Stilling rocking the same alpha 550, has another 5k miles on it and a couple hundred more passes. Upped our 1/8 and 1/4 mile time last year at sick week the backed it up this year with an 8.8’s average this year. Also took the quickest diesel again this year in 2026. Built a new motor last year, with a very similar combo. Pistons, cam, heads, fuel and air all the same. Just oringed the block, boostline rods, Callie’s crank, billet mains, these were the changes and reason for the new combo. The new combo seems to be happy, ran our best 60’ and et last year at scsn. Repeated 1.25 60’s and best of 5.39 et. It’s working. My old stuff is fine, just wanted to make this upgrade before we hurt the stock crank and mains. And also hoping to have a decent backup just in case. Also feel like maybe we out grew the SoCal rods. Guess time will the with these boostline ones.
So we’ve pretty much maxed out our cert with this car and if we wanted to go faster it would take a bunch more power at this weight. Time to make a change. Moving this combo over into something lighter really soon. Hoping to be testing here in a few months then hitting the drag n drive scene last this year. The plan is to get as many bugs worked out by the winter to have a really strong showing at sick week next year, 2027.
There’s some bounties up for grabs that we got our eyes set on, but they’re only available at sick week. Sick freaks is the class we run and the bounty is for being the first sick freak car to go in the sixes and another for a six second average. The bar is high but feel with the new car we can get there. Time will tell. New car is estimated at 1300-1400 lbs lighter. Initially will be exact same combo but by the end of the year will have more turbo and more nitrous. If this can be done we will set other records as well. Sonnax is all in with us and the 4L80. They want to prove it can live at 2000+ hp and go in the sixes, which to date nobody has done.
We’re swinging for the fences this season and next year!! 2200hp, single cp3, single turbo with a factory wet block that we can drive for 1000 miles in week. All with a 6 second average.
