LLY: cant find source of eaking coolant

My 05 Duramax is leaking coolant from the middle of the front of the engine. I cant find the source of the leak, and was wondering if anyone had an idea where its coming from?

The thing is it comes and goes its not constant meaning ill go to the store and there will be a huge puddle under the truck and when i get home it wont leak at all. Leave it overnight and theres a small trickle thats under the truck. any ideas?

Check the little bypass hose below the oil fill tube behind the fan pulley.

Water pump most likely. Our 04.5 needed one.

I was thinking about how he said it was toward the middle of the engine on my previous post but a waterpump leak could also be the culprit. When my waterpump started leaking it dripped more toward the drivers side.

no it hasnt been replaced yet.

could that be the prob cause the truck has less then 70k on the odometer.

and if it is the water pump is there a performance one available or am i just stuck with replacing the stock unit?
