I have a couple of cab mounts that are missing the bottom rubber piece. Is there a good aftermarket cab mount for these truck or do I jus go back with gm parts?

buy the new hydraulic mounts GM uses on the trucks now rides 200% better UPPER 25971031-need 2, LOWER 25791032-need 2, Washers 15854745 need 2 if yours are crap. You know maybe Henry can help order them up for you thru his GM slot. These take that axle wrap down alot which is great on the cement slabs and even racing some.

those are only ment for the rear cab mounts on extended and crew cabs, not ment for all the body mounts

there are some aftermarket poly urethan ones out there for our trucks but the people ive talked to say it makes vibrations easily transfred through to the cab and can cause annoying drones

Replace with OEM. I've broken lots of body mounts. I've used both poly and OEM and will always go back to the OEMs now.

chill the hell out dude. Those part numbers for those body mounts will not fit in any other location (maybe under the radiator support but that does no good) other than the rear on the 800 chassis. On the 900 i cant say. the hydro mounts are too damn wide to fit in any other location than the rear. plain and simple i know LOTs of guys too who have tried. Hell there is a big ass thread on DP as well..

So new hydraulic in the back and factory gm front? Only my front one is shot but I guess I should do them all.

its up to you. the main reason for the hydrolic body mount is for frame beaming as some call it (between 45-55 you can get a bad "hop" so to speak, same deal on bad freeways). the mount allows some up and down flex to keep the frame from transfering so much motion into the cab.

I will probably try the hydraulic ones and seen how that goes. Just to double check they only fit the rear?

Oh, well shoot. I gotta try em out! I'm 99% sure my truck is blessed with the "frame beaming" so maybe they'd help?!?! :D

haha everyone that has put them on has siad its greatly reduced the beaming. I have a set on the way, finally got some cash flow to buy some stuff ive wanted :D

Anyone care to give an update on using the hydraulic cab mounts? Especially on the earlier models. My 02 has the "hop" between 45 and 50 so I'm wanting to know if they're worth getting.

For my truck and the issue I was having it fixed it, they are spendy but my ride is so much better now I was kinda surprised they worked.

But then again look at the difference

No I gave those numbers you quoted above to the parts guy at the Chevy dealer came back with these updated numbers

25791032
25994881- this is the new number for the upper mounts
15854745

The lower cushion and lower washer are as needed, I live in a town where rust is beyond non existent and they don't use any bad winter road salt or spray so mine were in decent shape just old from age. I didn't need to replace the lower cushion or washer but I figured what the hell, I always say all or nothing so I got the whole setup.

Thank you..:thumb:

Without even looking I had to edit my above post, only 1 part # is new and that's the upper I'm guessing based on the price compared to the others on my list

Cropped the pic so you wouldn't see how much of a discount I got on em :thumb:
